Parking: Plenty of free parking is available within the San Pablo Reservoir Boat Launch, adjacent to the Start/Finish area. All runners must be off the course by 2:30 PM. Time Limit: There is a 6.5 hour time limit for the Half Marathon and 35K race. The Start and Finish for all races will be in the San Pablo Reservoir Recreation Area, which has a plethora of outdoor activities for all ages, including: hiking, fishing, kayaking/canoeing and picnicking. The 10K, Half Marathon and 35K courses are faster than other Inside Trail races because they have less elevation but they are consistent in a design intended to push each runner. Briones Reservoir is also one of the few EBMUD properties that has a substantial length of single-track trail. The Reservoir Dogs Trail Race is the first trail-running event allowed to completely circumnavigate the Briones Reservoir on the serene–and usually “permit-only”–East Bay Municipal Utility District (EBMUD) trails.Most trail runs are inherently beautiful, but this course offers more rolling open fire roads and boasts a nice progression of quintessentially East Bay environments, along with tree covered single-track and sweeping views of the watershed lands.
